This is Officially 2026’s Best Travel Hack

(every travelling parent should know about this!)

April 20th, 2026  Lifestyle

"As a young mom who likes to travel, I’ just wish I'd known about this sooner…"

So here’s what happened:

About three months ago, my husband and I were planning a trip from Miami to Seattle to visit the fam.

It was a 7 hour flight.

It had been such a long time since we went on a trip together… You know, with a young boy it’s not always easy to find the opportunity.

This time we really wanted to make it work - his parents don’t see our son very often.

But of course inside, I was hesitating…

Do I dare get on a plane with my 2 year old?

I’ve heard the horror stories…Actually, I LIVED them before as a passenger.

I always tried to be understanding, but I admit I could get irritated by parents who let their kids bother other people around and just don’t care.

I couldn’t be one of them.

Inside I was an anxious mess… Will he get restless and want to run around everywhere? Heck, cry uncontrollably? Throw a tantrum??

Look, I know we all have to go through this sometimes, but I really didn’t want to be angrily stared at by a bunch of Karens…

I wanted this vacation to be relaxing, and fun!

Not stressful and chaotic from the start.

So I read every hack out there

I consumed EVERYTHING I could about preparing for the flight and making it easy for our son.

bandou

Lots of snacks (and I mean, A LOT), introducing a new toy every 20 minutes, sippy cups on take off and landing, etc… It looked like a lot of work.

Also I thought of bringing his ipad so she’s distracted and keeps quiet, but I didn’t want to force everyone around to listen to 2h of Miss Rachel straight

And headphones… He refuses to wear them as they’re uncomfortable for him.

Anyway, I felt like I did everything I could at that point and anything else was out of my control.

Our flight was at 7 AM and luckily, he slept the whole ride going to the airport.

But,

Right before boarding, he started waking up, and I could see it in his face…

bandou

I thought “no, no, not now… please…”

My husband was trying to calm me down “it’s okay honey, we’ll go through it, there’s nothing we can do at this point”.

As we sat down, I could see on his face something was wrong.

Something I learned in recent years is that Mother’s Intuition is REAL.

When the plane took off, he took off.

“WAAAAAAA” he started screaming like never before.

He started flopping around like a landed fish, blood curdling, screaming.

I wanted to cry and scream with him at that point.

For what felt like forever I bounced, sang, whispered, begged, offered every snack, toy, and bribe in my arsenal.

Nothing worked. Whatever I tried, he wouldn’t stop.

“Is it gonna be like that the whole flight???” I thought.

As I raised my head, I could see dozens of passengers looking at me in disgust.

I could hear so many comments made under their breath towards me “kids shouldn’t be allowed on flights” “glad it’s not a 12h flight”, etc…

I was covered in stress sweat.

My worst nightmare.

I was trapped in a metal tube with 200 strangers all hating and judging me.

Suddenly, an old lady comes rushing from the back towards me

She hands me down a piece of fabric.

“Try this” she said hastily.

“What is it??” I replied.

It looked like some sort of cute-looking headband.

She said “they’re headphones made for kids, put it on his head”

I thought “he doesn’t like headphones, but this looks so much different”

So I placed them on his head, opened my phone with his favorite show, pressed play and

He got quiet IMMEDIATELY

He became obsessed with the screen, just like at home.

bandou

I was SHOCKED, I couldn’t believe it.

“‘WHAT IS THIS THING?” I asked.

“They’re called Bandou, I always bring them for my grandkids when we travel and it’s a game changer.” She replied.

“But they’re headphones… Are they safe??” I asked.

“Yes don’t worry dear, they’re built with a safe volume limit” she replied smiling.

“Planes can be overstimulating for kids you know, these create a calming effect” she added.

It was a blessing, it indeed kept him busy and quiet for the rest of the flight. Wow!

At the end, I thanked her while giving her the headband back.

As soon as we landed, I opened my phone and looked them up

bandou

I googled “Bandou” and landed on their website.

I was so happy to learn about them, but frustrated at the same time I didn’t get them beforehand.

My husband told me: “We need to get them NOW so we will receive them before our return flight!”

Oh yes, there was NO WAY we’d experience that again.

As I started reading on their website, I learned that they’re actually super popular and MADE for kids.

bandou

Unlike uncomfortable, bulky headphones, they’re super soft and cozy (plus they’re easy to pack).

It’s basically a comfy headband, in which there are super-thin speakers… wireless so it’s tangle-free too!

Oh and they have so many cute designs to choose from.

Seemed like the only thing my son would actually wear… and apparently he’s not the only one.

I did some more digging around online to see what other parents really thought about them...

And I started seeing dozens of videos like these:

And hundreds of amazing reviews and comments (I share some of them here):

"Amazing! We used them for a trip from Australia to UK, little one was able to listen to Movies through the cord and then when I wanted him to sleep we switched to wireless and hooked them up to Spotify to listen to white noise, pulling them over his eyes to make a sleep mask, best buy ever for such a long flight and he loved the character too"

- Melanie S. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

"This is an amazing product. I bought it for a flight from Los Angeles to Florida for my daughter. It seriously made the trip seamless. She loved it I would 1000% recommend."

- Travis C. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

"This was a life saver during our travels. My son's first experience on a plane couldn't have gone better. We love this! Super comfy and looks adorable"

- Diana D. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

"I was nervous about this purchased because my kids (4 & 2yo) hate wearing anything on their head until I purchased this for the airplane ride and it works great! They was curious and have it on throughout the 4 hour flight!"

- Pui V. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

"I bought these for my son who has different needs, and he ABSOLUTELY LOVES THEM! the soft comfortable material doesn't irritate him at all, and the volume control has been fantastic to make sure he is not overwhelmed by accidentally messing with the volume. It is just the right volume to hear his calm songs and help him settle when he is a bit overstimulated."

- Rachel F. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

From what I could see, they work in two ways

When you think about it, a plane is a sensory nightmare for them.

Strange sounds, strange people, can't move, can't escape.

Of course they hate it.

So the first thing it does is that it creates a calming effect. It reduces overwhelming sounds and is super soft on their ears.

The second thing is that it helps them focus on their videos/shows/sounds or anything that then calm them down.

In the end it's not about adding more stuff...

It's less noise, less visual chaos, less overwhelm. And then one thing to focus on.

Anyway, I ordered the cute shark one.

I wasn’t sure he’d like the design but I saw they had a 365-day free return period if he didn't like it - so it was a no-brainer.

And when it finally arrived a few days later to my in-laws, I was so excited.

I’m telling you, these kids headphones are a life-saver! He LOVES them!

He used them all week while we were there, here’s what we loved about them:

They’re safe for his sensitive ears. The volume doesn’t go high enough to damage his ears, which is very important for us.

They were super easy to carry around. We just folded them and my purse and could carry them anywhere!

They’re bluetooth (wireless). But there's also the option for a cable for the plane

My son likes to tear, twist and throw EVERYTHING. Since they’re soft, there’s nothing to break (and believe me he tried)!

Most importantly, HE loves them. He likes to wear them and it gives us a little break when he does (often much needed!)

They’re easy to wash, which is a huge plus. All we have to do is remove the headphones from inside and then simply throw the headband in the wash!

We get so many compliments! It looks so cute and we’re constantly being asked where we got them.

Anyway, I linked their official website below so you can read all the details...

On our return flight, he was an ANGEL. I was so happy I could relax in the plane and take it easy.

How This Blind Grandma Instantly Quieted My Daughter On The Plane

(every travelling parent should know about this!)

July 28th, 2023  Lifestyle

"As a young mom who likes to travel, I’m just so glad she was there, she saved my trip…"

So here’s what happened:

About three months ago, my husband and I were planning a trip from California to Florida to visit the fam.

It was a 6 hour flight.

It had been such a long time since we went on a trip together… You know, with a young daughter it’s not always easy to find the opportunity.

This time we really wanted to make it work - can’t pause our llife because we have a kid (I guess?!).

But I kept feeling really anxious… Will she cry uncontrollably, throw a tantrum, kick other passenger’s chairs? Smashing toys on them??

Look, I know we all have to go through this sometimes, but I really didn’t want to be angrily stared at by a bunch of Karens…

I wanted this vacation to be relaxing, and fun! Not stressful and chaotic from the start.

So I read every hack out there

I consumed EVERYTHING I could about preparing for the flight and making it easy for our daughter.

Lots of snacks (lots and lots), introducing a new toy every 20 minutes, sippy cups on take off and landing, etc… Looked like a lot of work.

Also I thought of bringing her ipad so she’s distracted and keeps quiet, but I didn’t want to force everyone around to listen to 2h of baby shark straight

And headphones… She refuses to wear them as they’re uncomfortable for her.

Anyway, I felt like I did everything I could at that point and anything else was out of my control.

Our flight was at 7 AM and luckily, she slept the whole ride going to the airport.

But,

Right before boarding, she started waking up, and I could see it in her face…

bandou

I thought “no, no, not now… please…”

My husband was trying to calm me down “it’s okay honey, we’ll go through it, there’s nothing we can do at this point”.

As we sat down, I could see on her face something was wrong.

Something I learned in recent years is that Mother’s Intuition is REAL.

When the plane took off, she took off.

“WAAAAAAA” she started screaming like never before.

I wanted to cry and scream with her at that point.

Whatever I tried, she wouldn’t stop, it lasted for what felt like forever.

“Is it gonna be like that the whole flight???” I thought.

As I raised my head, I could see dozens of passengers looking at me in disgust.

I could hear so many comments made under their breath towards me “only thing worse than a dog on a plane is a baby” “glad it’s not a 12h flight”, etc…

My worst nightmare.

Suddenly, an old lady comes stumbling from the back towards me

Clearly she had a hard time seeing, she kept trying to feel our seat.

Once she touches my hands as I tried to help her,

She hands me down a piece of fabric.

“Try this” she said hastily as she stared slightly off.

“What is it??” I replied.

It looked like some sort of cute-looking headband.

She said “they’re headphones made for kids, put it on her head”

I thought “she doesn’t like headphones, but this looks so much different”

So I placed them on her head, opened my phone with her favorite show, pressed play and

She got quiet IMMEDIATELY

She became obsessed with the screen, just like at home.

It was a blessing, it kept her busy and quiet for the rest of the flight. Wow!

At the end, I thanked her while giving her the headband back and helped her get back to her seat.

As I started reading on their website, I learned that they’re actually recommended by pediatrists and MADE for kids.

bandou

Unlike uncomfortable, bulky headphones, they’re super soft and easy to pack (they fold super tiny).

It’s basically a comfy headband, in which there are super-thin speakers… wireless so it’s tangle-free too!

Oh and they have so many cute designs to choose from.

Seemed like the only thing my daughter would actually wear… and apparently she’s not the only one.

The reviews were great… I saw hundreds of comments like this…

★★★★★

The perfect purchase!

"My son has used these on several different flights and car trips. They are soft, they stay on, they are very cutte AND it's never too loud :)"

Cullen B.

★★★★★

I can't help myself!!

"Amazing quality and well worth the money I'll be buying more they connected to Bluetooth so easy and the material is soft, they arrived to Australia in 16 days, super quick compared to other items that I get"

Irene E.

★★★★★

Makes all of our trips enjoyable now!

"These are awesome!!! My 3 and 5 year old wore them with comfort and didn't mess with them at all. Made our 6.5 hour trip very tolerable.... until the movie stopped that was haha."

Samantha B.

So I ordered the cute Fox one.

I wasn’t sure she’d like the design but I saw they had a 60-day free return period if she didn't like it - so it was a no-brainer.

And when it finally arrived a few days later to my in-laws, I was so excited.

I’m telling you, these kids headphones are a life-saver! She LOVES them!

She used them all week while we were there, here’s what we loved about them:

They’re safe for her sensitive ears. The volume doesn’t go high enough to damage her ears, which is very important for us.

They were super easy to carry around. We just folded them and my purse and could carry them anywhere!

They’re bluetooth (wireless). So there’s no messy cable anywhere.

My daughter likes to tear, twist and throw EVERYTHING. Since they’re soft, there’s nothing to break (and believe me she tried)!

Most importantly, SHE loves them. She likes to wear them and it gives us a little break when she does (often much needed!)

They’re easy to wash, which is a huge plus. All we have to do is remove the headphones from inside and then simply throw the headband in the wash!

We get so many compliments! It looks so cute and we’re constantly being asked where we got them.

On our return flight, she was an ANGEL. I was so happy I could relax in the plane and take it easy.

Honestly, thanks to Bandou 😅

This is Officially 2026’s Best Travel Hack

(every travelling parent should know about this!)

April 20th, 2026  Lifestyle

"As a young mom who likes to travel, I just wish I'd known about this sooner…"

But,

As soon as we landed, I opened my phone and looked them up

bandou

I googled “Bandou” and landed on their website.

I was so happy to learn about them, but frustrated at the same time I didn’t get them beforehand.

My husband told me: “We need to get them NOW so we will receive them before our return flight!”

Oh yes, there was NO WAY we’d experience that again.

The perfect purchase!

"My son has used these on several different flights and car trips. They are soft, they stay on, they are very cutte AND it's never too loud :)"

She became obsessed with the screen, just like at home.

It was a blessing, it kept her busy and quiet for the rest of the flight. Wow!

At the end, I thanked her while giving her the headband back and helped her get back to her seat.
